Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs Sponsor 15th Annual Taste Of Soul, Impacting The Community
Largest California Black-Owned Law Firm Committed to Giving Back

LOS ANGELES – Oct 22, 2020 – Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs, a full-service California Black-owned law firm known for diversity and excellent client service, was named a corporate sponsor of Taste of Soul 2020 which took place on October 17, 2020. Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs‘ sponsorship of the 15th year of Taste of Soul proves vital for the local Black community while uplifting and supporting Taste of Soul’s virtual concert and community food distribution initiative.

Since 2005, Taste of Soul has been dubbed as the largest one-day ‘free’ street festival and event in all of L.A. City and County. Drawing over 350,000 attendees, Taste of Soul includes local and traditional cuisine that reflect a Black cultural experience and diverse elements of culture and tradition. The 15th annual Taste of Soul virtual event kept this tradition going. The virtual atmosphere welcomed community messaging from elected officials and celebrities about COVID-19, health and safety, voting, and other important issues. Recognizing the unprecedented challenges of these trying and uncertain times, Taste of Soul began a community food distribution initiative to simultaneously support families and Black businesses needing assistance during the pandemic. The food distribution initiative included providing groceries and pre-packed meals for distribution with social distancing precautions.

Generous contributions by private sponsors like Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs have made Taste of Soul 2020 successful, collectively pulling together time, resources, and financial support for community enhancement. This generosity has been particularly felt by Black businesses that regularly experience economic empowerment from the in-person festival and who have been severely impacted by the pandemic and its social restrictions. Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs’ support was welcomed as part of the broader “Support a Black Business Advertising Campaign,” which seeks to uplift those struggling during these increasingly challenging times.

“We are proud to support Taste of Soul 2020,” remarked Rodney Diggs, Partner at Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs. “It is an honor to impact the local community, including Black businesses, through Taste of Soul’s virtual event and community food distribution initiative. We are honored to support the Taste of Soul 2020’s demonstration of what is possible to achieve for and within our community.”

Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs look forward to sponsoring the Taste of Soul 2021, currently scheduled for October 16, 2021, and expected to be in-person.
